About Helena Core

The Montana Discovery Foundation website hosts the Helena CORE webpage but CORE is far beyond an MDF program.

How CORE Began:

The Helena Community of Resource Educators (CORE) was formed in 2020 as a group to collaborate on education projects in our region of Montana. Our Flagship program was the Summer Walk Series, which brings family-friendly outdoor education to students of all ages during the summer.

Helena CORE's Mission:

We are a network of individuals and organizations working together to increase awareness and understanding about the natural, historical and cultural resources of Helena and the surrounding region.

Our Goals:

  • To serve as a communication network between resource educators and the community.
  • To provide practical tools, training and materials for educators in Helena and the surrounding region.
  • To remain open to all resource educators and professionals to promote the diversity of ideas and cooperation.
  • To promote understanding of the place where we live.

Public Lands in The Helena Area
